Burlington Northern tank cars. These cars were once used for testing purposes (early 1980s) when the railroad was testing propane as fuel. I worked at Caterpillar Engine Division at the time, and several of these tank cars would be attached to a group of locomotives for long range fuel efficiency testing runs from Wyoming to Chicago and beyond.
