1990 waren im Baltikum noch zahlreiche Dampflokomotiven als strategische Reserve hinterstellt. Hier ein Schnappschuss zwischen Riga und Valmiera (06.06.1990). Im Vordergrund eine umgespurte ex-DR 52 (SZD-Reihe TE), dahinter mehrere Lokomotiven der Reihe L. 
