2025.08.28,NY1003 16497 of SINOPEC MaoMing Petrochemical, at MaoMing Open-pit Nature Park. Dedicated to solve the issue, MaoMing City recovered the mine pit in 2014 and, following by a massive programme of Revitalising, the former pit was now a massive lake occupying 6.8 square kilometre with depth of 90m with trees along the water. The site was now a public park with no ticket fee required, and the veteran NY1003 proudly retired at the Weighbridge Plaza alone with 2 FAW trucks.

Um dieses Problem zu lösen, sanierte die Stadt MaoMing die Grube im Jahr 2014 und nach einem umfangreichen Revitalisierungsprogramm ist die ehemalige Grube nun ein riesiger See mit einer Fläche von 6,8 Quadratkilometern und einer Tiefe von 90 Metern, der von Bäumen gesäumt ist. Der Standort ist nun ein öffentlicher Park, für den kein Eintritt verlangt wird, und die alte NY1003 steht stolz zusammen mit zwei FAW-Lkw auf dem Weighbridge Plaza.

While saving themselves by upgrading, MaoMing Petrochemical cannot provide enough job for the local population as they shut down the Oil Shale Mine at 1992. The mine was then used for Kaolinite mining which does not help with controlling the polution that already caused health concern of the city. /// 2025.08.28, NY1003 16497 von SINOPEC MaoMing Petrochemical im MaoMing Open-pit Nature Park. Obwohl MaoMing Petrochemical durch Modernisierung versucht, sich zu retten, kann das Unternehmen nicht genügend Arbeitsplätze für die lokale Bevölkerung bereitstellen, da es 1992 die Ölschiefermine geschlossen hat. Die Mine wurde dann für den Abbau von Kaolinit genutzt, was jedoch nicht zur Eindämmung der Umweltverschmutzung beiträgt, die bereits zu Gesundheitsproblemen in der Stadt geführt hat. 

MaoMing, for around 1 year (1958-1959), was the main source of China's own oil by digging the Oil Shale and process them---fortunately for the whole country but unfortunately for the town's industry, the DaQing Oil Field at Northern China drew their first drop of oil, this discovery almost wreck the newly born Petrochemical Industry along with the whole city that born along the Oil Shale Industry. /// 2025.08.28, NY1003 16497 von SINOPEC MaoMing Petrochemical, im MaoMing Open-pit Nature Park. MaoMing war etwa ein Jahr lang (1958–1959) die Hauptquelle für Chinas eigenes Öl, indem Ölschiefer abgebaut und verarbeitet wurde – zum Glück für das ganze Land, aber zum Unglück für die Industrie der Stadt, denn das DaQing-Ölfeld im Norden Chinas förderte seine ersten Tropfen Öl. Diese Entdeckung hätte beinahe die neu entstandene petrochemische Industrie und die ganze Stadt, die zusammen mit der Ölschieferindustrie entstanden war, ruiniert. 
