Bald ist die Bergstation erreicht. "Funis" (Standseilbahnene) haben eine lange Tradition am Genfersee, etliche fahren auch heute noch (Sonloup, Mont Pèlerin, Glion), in Lausanne hat erst eine Zahnradbahn, dann die Metro (m2) das "Funi" ersetzt und in Evain ist ein ähnliches "Funi" wie jenes in Thonon nicht mehr in Betrieb.
