Back in the (so-called) good old days with 42 tracks, theres probably no flower or any beautiful stuff other than coal around. The yellow atomsphere in this photo was just filters, but back then probably serious smog.

2024.08.31, JS 6500, GuangZhou Railway Museum. Das seltsame Semaphorsignal ist nicht das einzige, was in dieser Ausstellung fehl am Platz ist - die Blumen sind es. In den (so genannten) guten alten Zeiten mit 42 Gleisen gab es wahrscheinlich keine Blumen oder andere schöne Dinge außer Kohle. Die gelbe Atomkugel auf diesem Foto war nur ein Filter, aber damals war es wahrscheinlich ernsthafter Smog.

2024.08.31, JS 6500, GuangZhou Railway Museum. When people talk about steam locomotive it was full of nostalgia that everything was better back then. But the skyscrapers infront (and behind) of the steam locomotive probably disagreed---time moved forward, and railway moved forward. The old veteran can now rest silently knowing the massive electrification program and modernized locomotives took the duty over. /// 2024.08.31, JS 6500, GuangZhou Railway Museum. Wenn man über Dampflokomotiven spricht, ist man voller Nostalgie, dass damals alles besser war. Aber die Wolkenkratzer vor (und hinter) der Dampflokomotive waren da wohl anderer Meinung - die Zeit schritt voran, und die Eisenbahn schritt voran. Der alte Veteran kann sich nun in aller Ruhe ausruhen, da er weiß, dass das massive Elektrifizierungsprogramm und die modernisierten Lokomotiven den Dienst übernommen haben. 

2024.08.31, GuangZhou Railway Museum, HuangSha Station (黃沙車站) was the starting point of GuangZhou---WuHan Railway, despite now only survived with 3 locomotive each on their own track, the station was once the biggest Railway---Water transfer point in Southern China with 42 tracks. After shut down in 2005 as CR dedicated to move rail freight out of the city center, all except the warehouse were demolished. The current display included the JS "Construction" Steam Locomotive no. 6500, belongs to HaiNan Depot, CR GuangZhou. The semaphore signal seems like a replica, but at least the 38 years old steamer born in 1986 enjoy a good view toward the Pearl River. /// 2024.08.31, GuangZhou Railway Museum, HuangSha Bahnhof (黃沙車站) war der Ausgangspunkt der GuangZhou---WuHan Eisenbahn, obwohl jetzt nur noch mit 3 Lokomotiven auf je einem eigenen Gleis überlebt, war der Bahnhof einst der größte Eisenbahn---Wasser Umsteigepunkt in Südchina mit 42 Gleisen. Nach der Stilllegung im Jahr 2005, als die CR den Schienengüterverkehr aus dem Stadtzentrum herausführte, wurde alles außer dem Lagerhaus abgerissen. Die aktuelle Ausstellung umfasst die Dampflokomotive JS 'Construction' Nr. 6500, die zum HaiNan Bahnbetriebswerk, CR GuangZhou, gehört. Das Semaphorensignal wirkt wie ein Nachbau, aber immerhin hat der 38 Jahre alte Dampfer, der 1986 geboren wurde, einen guten Blick auf den Perlfluss. 
