Hallo Maurizio, das Bild ist mir entgangen. Ich wusste gar nicht, dass es eine erhaltene Lollo in Italien gibt. Wunderschön gepflegt sieht sie aus. Weißt Du eigentlich woher der Spitzname "Lollo" kommt?

The nickname 'Lollo' comes from the famous Italian Actress Gina Lollobrigida: the outline of this lok is 'rounded' like 'something' very characterizing that Actress ........ :-)

The machines composing the class E630 arrived in Italy at FNME in the second half of '90s, coming from CSD (Class ES499.3 / 163)

@Kay: Vielleicht verdient ja eine dumme Frage eine dumme Antwort. Ich spezifiziere daher die Frage genauer: Gemeint war, was der Sinn des Einbaus dieser teueren Räder ist oder war, das hast Du nicht beantwortet.

I know that spokes wheels are fitted on each E630, as well as on the most of class 163 I saw in the respective folder here on Bahnbilder.
I really don't know why.
